Alan Eugene Jackson (October 17, 1958) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Many of his songs are self-penned, and he performs them in the "neotraditional country" style. There are 21 studio albums by Jackson, including three best hits compilations, two gospel albums, and 2 Christmas albums. With 75 million recordings sold globally, including 44 million in the US alone, Jackson is among the best-selling musicians ever. He has 66 songs included or charted by Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks; out of those 66 titles and six featured singles, 35 have been No.1, and 38 have made the top five. Not only is he a Georgia Music Hall of Fame inductee, but he is also a Grand Ole Opry member. Loretta Lynn was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017, and in 2018, he was inducted into the NashvilleSongwriters Hall of Fame. Along with Lauren Alaina, a former American Idol, Jackson continued his "Keepin' It Country" tour in 2016 and 2017.
